By accessing or using HotTake ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including our Chrome extension and web application.

HotTake is an AI-powered LinkedIn engagement tool that helps users create comments, posts, and optimize their LinkedIn presence. The Service includes:

• Content optimization recommendations

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by law.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing cycle.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Changes will not affect current billing cycles. We will provide notice of significant price changes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Generate spam, misleading, or deceptive content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Generate hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated systems to abuse the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. AI-Generated Content

HotTake uses artificial intelligence to generate content suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided as suggestions only
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing content before posting
• You are responsible for ensuring content complies with applicable laws and platform policies
• AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable
• We do not guarantee any specific results from using AI-generated content

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by HotTake and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely to provide and improve the Service.

7.3 Generated Content

Content generated through the Service is provided for your use. You may use, modify, and publish such content, subject to these Terms and applicable platform policies.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including LinkedIn and payment processors. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOTTAKE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HotTake and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.
